I suppose inconsiderate. There is only so much energy I can expend on meeting other people's needs before my own well-being suffers.

for what it's worth, if it's not your responsibility, that doesn't make you inconsiderate. it means you've set firm boundaries.

I think it's dependent on my living situation, honestly. If I were to live alone and paid someone to clean my home, then it's clearly not my responsibility, and I'd be guiltless. Right now I have roommates-- inflicting a mess upon them would be thoughtless and inconsiderate.

Well, yes, in my opinion it's different. I don't think Max or Sebastien would ever take advantage of me, nor would I think to impart the expectations I have for myself upon them.
