October 2nd. A few of the contingent from home come out and we go out dancing with my friends.

It's usually the people, isn't it? They tend to make the place. But the sports scene was good, and there was always something to do.

Oh, I waitressed at this tiny diner about ten minutes from my house that never had its AC working as well as it should've been. It felt like hell's sauna, but the customers were loyal as anything and tipped so good it felt criminal to accept them.
